The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar boss has revealed that a return to Philips Stadion was always in his mind when he left 14 years ago; insisted that his aim is to lift the Eredivisie title again with PSV.
d**k Advocaat, the current Russian National Football manager, has recently signed a one-year deal to coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven. The 64-year-old will take over the managerial hot seat at Philips Stadion after the conclusion of EURO 2012.
The vastly experienced tactician had earlier coached the Eindhoven giants and guided them to win silverware during his three-season stay at Philips Stadion from 1995 to 1998. The Dutchman has revealed that he still cherishes the happy memories of past.
“I have happy memories of my first stint at PSV. And people will hopefully cherish happy memories of my second stint. I’ve always maintained I would once return to PSV I left here fourteen years ago. This is the ideal moment to come back as PSV failed to
win the title for the past few seasons. PSV have the potential to compete and achieve at any level”, Advocaat was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The Dutch trainer, who started his coaching career way back in 1981, went on to insist that his primary objective is to guide his team to lift the Eredivisie title.
“It’s my task to win the title, I keep telling myself. Nobody else needs to remind me of that mission. I´m not here to prepare coaches, I’m here to be champion. I know my assistants. Anyways, I’m looking forward to taking up my new role as head coach at
PSV”, Advocaat concluded.

Advocaat would be hoping that he could win something in his second stint at PSV, as the club has failed to lift the Eredivisie title since their last triumph in the 2007/08 season.
