“We missed four key players. The pitch was unplayable. We felt sore after the defeat but things like that can happen in those conditions. We could not create much, but we can’t blame the players”, Advocaat was quoted as saying to the media in the pre-match
press conference in Eindhoven.

The Dutchman, who took the reins of PSV before the start of the ongoing 2012/13 campaign, went on to reveal that his side will try their utmost to emerge victorious in their upcoming league encounter.
“Heerenveen want to play an attacking style football. I don’t think they will adhere to a 5-3-2 formation, like they did earlier this season. We will battle for every inch and not allow sc Heerenveen to get going”, Advocaat concluded.
