tiger didn't have the power to hurt monzon, so carlos takes it by decision in a tough fight.

This is a very good match up (i am surprised i never thought about it) Tiger was a very good boxer....he was tough and strong but still retained many skills....Monzon at his very best was easily the greatest middleweight ever (alongside hagler) he was tough and versatile but most importantly he was truly relentless...he had that rare killer instinct to match with his skills that made him a danger to anyone who faced him and to be honest with you i haven't seen many weaknesses in his fighting style (whatever weakness he had,he made up with his iron chin)....tiger was good enough to give Monzon a good fight and probably go the distance, but Monzon's aggressiveness and accuracy would eventually take their toll. I'd say Monzon wins by decision after a very good fight.

Very good fight.  Monzon is tall and can attack from the outside very well.  I dare say he would be like a post prime ALI who could still nail his less defensive opponents very well from outside.  Look at some of the highlights of ALI-Shavers or even ALI-Frazier 3, where ALI, though not quite as tough as Frazier, still was able to dish out enough punishment to disable Joe.

d**k Tiger is one of the toughest middleweights ever.  He's rugged and can take a lot of punishment.  It would be life and death for Monzon.  If Tiger can get inside and make a FIGHT of it he would have a chance to win.  Monzon wasn't a great puncher but he could take what Tiger dishes out while minimizing the effect by tying d**k up a lot and dictating the pace.

Monzon could possibly stop him late but I see Tiger going the distance.  He's very tough.

Monzon was very awkward and fought long distance, Tiger(at 5'8") would pretty much fight Monzon in a similar fashion as Emile Griffith did, so the fight would have very similar results. Monzon in a very lop-sided decision maybe even a late round stoppage depending on Monzon's mood.
