Dickie Le Davoir, the one with good chances in Six Hills Handicap at Leicester
It is very hard to discard an upset in a field of 17 horses, attracted by the Six Hills Handicap at Leicester on Tuesday, September 04, 2012. There are so many powerful runners in the line-up that the spectators can easily anticipate an exciting battle.
According to our calculations, the suggestion is Dickie Le Davoir, who narrowly missed the gold in last week’s Lingfield Marriott Hotel & Country Club Handicap (Div I).
In the hands of Robbie Fitzpatrick, Richard Guest’s trainee made good progress on outer over 2f out. A superb effort in the middle stages helped him lead a furlong before the wire, but he was outpaced by The Tichborne in the last 100 yards.
Although he failed to trouble the champion, the effort was solid enough to believe that he can follow up. Owned by Future Racing (Notts) Limited, the 8-year-old son of Kyllachy requires an equally good effort to get the better of his rivals in today’s class
5 meeting.
According to the plan, the 5-furlong 218-yard meeting will be kicked off at 17:20 GMT. It carries a handsome prize worth £2,264, which will go to the successful runner at end of the race.
West Leake Hare is another runner to watch out for. Trained by Charles Hills, the 3-year-old has been performing quite consistently over the past few months, but remained unlucky last twice. The son of Choisir was third on last couple of occasions.
Owned by Henry Barton, the bay colt is running well these days, but needs a lot of luck to win this event. He is yet to get off the mark this season.
Pettochside also needs a slice of luck today. Stuart Williams’ trainee was runner-up on his last two outings respectively at Nottingham and Epsom. Luck has not smiled on him since January, when he registered his maiden win at Wolverhampton.
It is quite unsure whether both West Leake Hare and Pettochside will be able to sway things in their favour. So, the punters should take a chance on Dickie Le Davoir, who chased home the well-backed winner on last Thursday. Good luck to all the horses.
