Dictation typist?

Can anyone tell me exactly what a dictation typist does? Im thinking about applying for this position because typing is what i do best, but i'm not exactly sure what all is involved.

It sounds like you would be typing from what someone has dictated onto a tape.  You would listen with headphones and type what's on the tape.  Not hard at all - I used to do it as part of my job for an attorney.  I had no previous experience with it -basically, if you can type, you can do it.  Good luck!
