Every rule has its own share of scourges.

What can be done to prevent the abuse of helpless Afghanistan children & get them the justice they deserve?

  1. I think we should be proactive in changing the whole culture of that part of the world. It's not enough to send in soldiers. The war on terror is just as much a cultural war in my opinion. This means forcing our values on people and I don't see anything wrong with that when we are challenging child rape.

Unless we change the root culture these people will always need a dictatorial regime like the Taliban to maintain security.

  2. There is nothing in the article that suggests that this did not go on when there was a taliban presence.  It is not perfect, but things have improved.  They alone can fix their corrupt justice system.  Troop presence was meant to disrupt and eradicate taliban presence.  They were successful in doing that.  They still need to adapt their culture to make good use of their new freedoms.

  3. Yes. Some people do feel safer and more protected without freedom and liberty. Things are much easier for some people when others decide everything for them. Look at the liberals in the USA and Russia.

  4. At least they didn't have that much innocent people killed every day.

i think the best thing to do is to get out and let the people solve their problems as they wish,i don't remember that Afghan people asked u to go & invade their country, destroy it & occupy it and then say "we r coming to help u ,by killing ur civilians & bombing ur simple buildings with our fighter jets!!! that'snot the kind of help i will look for!!!

So mind ur own business & pull out,pay for the rebuilding of what u destroyed, that'sthe only way to help them.

and by the way, dont FORCE ur values on anybody ,please.
