  2. No he did not. I'm a fan of Alice and read his book and there was nothing about him running for president. Alice was also too much into his alcholism to realize to do so.

  3. No....but he DID sing about it.  "Elected" is one of those timeless well constructed songs that reflects TODAY's political arena, just as it did back in 1972, when he recorded it.
