Did Alicia Sacramone not qualify to perform on the balance beam event?

I have seen most of the qualifying events for other sports, but not gymnastics. I thought this was her event. I realize she failed for the team, but does she go on to try to qualify for individual or do they pick the competitors from the overall? Hope this makes sense. I was just hoping to see her again, to try to make up for her fall :(

Only two people from each country's team can compete in the individual, so apparently she didn't qualify. Johnson and Luikin are much better gymnasts then Sacramone. I did feel bad for her earlier performance.

she was 4th in qualification but rules are only 2 per nation so nastia and shawn qualified since the scored higher. kinda bull.

She qualified for vault, but she ended up getting 4th place in it. A Chinese gymnast that had a terrible landing on one of her vaults somehow beat her. That's the only individual event she qualified for.
