  1. If you're talking about Anne Boelyn, I believe the only thing she did right was giving birth to Elizabeth I.   She is the one who first made Henry VIII nuts

  2. not really...had she not been around, the monarch would have been Sophia, whose son succeeded as George 1, ushering in a century of boring Germanic slobs who among other things, lost the Americas for Britain.

    Had the enlightened Sophia become Queen, England and its court may have been a much less warlike, more arts-friendly nation.

    Anne did have 17 children, but none lived beyond 11 years old.For which I pity her.

    But not an impressive monarch.

  3. yes

  4. === I don't think that expectations were very high. ===

      Before her ascension, all of her 17 (18?) births had resulted in stillborn children or children that died very young, It was clear that she was not going to get pregnant again. The "Act of Succession" had already been signed, so the monarchy was going to pass to the House of Hannover.

       The formation of Great Britain did not seem to have much to do with her personally.

      Probably the only thing that she did of political signifigance was creating 12 peers in a single day, to wipe out the Whig majority in the House of Lords and end the war of the Spanish Succession.

  5. She donated her legs to cabinet makers.

  6. Yes.She was childless.

  7. Assuming you're enquiring about Queen Anne (1702-14), the last of the Stuart monarchs (she succeeded William III), her reign saw the union of England and Scotland; she was the first Queen of Great Britain (also Queen of Ireland); artistic, literary and scientific advancements; the first copyright law. It also saw a shift in power from the Crown to her ministers, a trend that continued under subsequent rulers.
