Do you think she was guilty of adultery and incest, or was it all a ploy so that King Henry could be remarried?

  1. No.  The charges against her were almost certainly false, but henry wanted to be rid of her, and nobody would have dared to acquitt her, knowing that it would incur the wrath of the King.

  2. No she did not. She was very beautiful but her biggest crime was not being able to give Henry a son.

  3. She did nothing to deserve being executed.  Jax gave a great answer, Anne Boleyn was innocent of the charges against her but was not an innocent person.

  4. No, I dont think she deserved to die. Her only "sin" was to not give Henry the son he so desperately wanted. Henry's advisers plotted and conspired against Anne and the accusation of incest and adultery I believe were false. I dont think she was entirely innocent and I believe she was very ambitious and engineered events that lead to Henry divorcing Catherine of Aragon which incidently the people of the time never really forgave her for. She had a lot of enemies and that combined with her inability to produce a male heir and the fact that Henry already had his eye on Jane Seymour didn't really help her cause. I find it ironic that Anne's daughter Elizabeth went on to become one of the most powerful Queens that ever lived.

  5. they were false allegatons , in fact she opened up homes for the orphaned, and elderly, kept the scripture readings going for the people, and a host of other noble deeds

  6. You decide:Anne Boleyn gave birth to a girl, when the King wanted a boy.

Do you think she "deserved to die" because of that?

  7. Of course she didn't. Even if she were guilty of adultry and/or incest (and that was never satisfactorily proven) those are sins, not crimes, and certainly don't deserve the death penalty.

Henry had nothing against Boleyn, strange as it sounds, but he was desperate for an heir and he had very bad luck in finding a wife who could give him a healthy son.
