Question:

Did Anyone Else Think That "The Dark Knight" Was Just OK?

My mom and I went to see "The Dark Knight" last week. I'm not a huge fan of the series, but I have seen the other five films. My mom hadn't seen any of them. I was glad that I saw it, but I thought it was a typical "Batman" movie, nothing so spectacular that it should be up for Best Picture or anything. Even though my mom had nothing to directly compare it to, she agreed with that assessment.

Everyone else in my life seemed to have loved it or hated it. Did anyone else out there think that this movie was "just OK," like entertaining enough that you didn't waste your time or your money by seeing it but not so great that you're recommending it to any of your friends?

  1. I thought it was just okay.  It felt more like a police drama than a superhero adventure.  It wasn't nearly as good as "Batman Begins."

  2. The other five had NOTHING to do with the news series.

It was worth my money  of batman. (well my date's money) He enjoyed it and so did I.I liked the first movie (Batman Begins). I'd go see it in the movies again. But I'm a Batman fan so my opinion is biased :P

  3. I agree with you. The only thing I loved about it was Heath Ledger's performance. Cliche, I know. :) But he was pretty good. I'm just not a huge fan of Batman.

  4. It was the first believable batman movie. It was realistic and was more geared toward an older audience than usual. It was darker and way more violent than any other batman. thats why it rocked boxes
