Did Assassin’s Creed: Revelations knock Modern Warfare 3 off the top spot? Xbox 360 Chart
The overall sales of Modern Warfare 3 may be miles ahead of any other game in the market at the moment, yet with weekly sales figures there are plenty of possibilities of an upset. So did Ezio Auditore manage to spring a surprise for its modern-military
counterpart?
Here is the Xbox 360 software sales chart in the United Kingdom for the previous week:
10. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary: a sense of nostalgia, a need to play as Master Chief once again or just the fact that just a great deal is on offer are all solid reasons as to why the game is selling in the impressive manner that it
is as it holds on to the number ten spot in the charts.
9. WWE ’12: ranking higher in the Xbox 360 charts than in the PlayStation 3 one is THQ’s reboot of one of the longest running series in the gaming world.
8. Kinect Sports: there is not much choice in terms of quality games on the motion controlled peripheral which we all have come to know and love as the Kinect, yet the resurgent sales figures of Kinect Sports show that that still are some
games that the Kinect is worth buying for.
7. Battlefield 3: still managing to stay in the charts is the fastest selling game in Electronic Arts’ history. EA will be proud of the way the game has been received both in terms of review scores and sales.
6. Forza Motorsport 4: the only racing game on the charts, Forza Motorsport 4 is holding its own with some of the most realistic car models to grace the console in its history.
5. Saints Row: The Third: is a game that every gamer needs to experience and like a fad, it seems that a large number of consumers in the United Kingdom are taking to the game that lets people do some of the wackiest things imaginable.
4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: while its PlayStation 3 cousin may be suffering from a number of issues, the Xbox 360 is managing to deliver a much more complete and glitch free experience, which are resulting in higher sales for the game
on this particular console.
3. FIFA 12: rounding off a top three which is almost identical in the two console charts, EA Sports best-selling franchise takes the number three spot.
2. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations: just could not cope with the awe of modern military weapons as it settles for yet another week in the number two spot.
1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: the game continues to do the business as it tops the charts for yet another week and one can safely bet that it will stay here for a few more weeks to come.
