Bambi' dad did not die, but his mother did. Ursula the sea witch from The Little Mermaid dies; Simba's dad died. That's all I can think of.

Walt Disney died, and so did all of his immense, if not copied, imagination. So really, the characters left at the end only die if you wish them dead. I don't really care, I just like the CG movies now. At least those are original!

Bambi's mother was killed by hunters, which is probably what you are thinking about. Quite a few other characters have died in Disney movies from the Witch in Snow White to Old Yeller, but the only death I found really upsetting when I first saw it was that of Uncle Remus in "The Song of the South."
