Even with frozen s***n, or through A.I? I know the jockey club doesn't allow it, but oh well.

  1. No he was never bred.

  2. Thouroughbreds are never produced through A.I. It is against the rules of the registry. I suppose it actually is done but you would have to lie about the sire. You cannot register a TB with Barbaro as the sire as he was not bred.

  3. No the Jackson's did not allow any sperm to be collected and they are probably not going to clone him either. Barbaro has 2 full brothers and another on the way. Both hsi parents are still alive and reproducing so they still have the same bloodlines going on. Just b/c one horse does soemthing great does not mean he will definately pass that to his offspring. It's his bloodline that would ahve been preserved not his ability

  4. No... he wasn't ready for sire yet.

  5. No, he did not.  Actually, it is illegal to take sperm from a horse that was on the mends at the time to produce another baby (horse).  His owners, The Wilson's have stated that Barbaro has a younger brother that is actually training for The Kentucky Derby in the year 2010.

  6. I think they may have collected some s***n before he was put down, but he had no offspring.

  7. no he didn't, but he has a brother, and i think his brother might.
