Did Batman: Arkham City do enough to knock FIFA 12 off the top of the PlayStation 3 chart?
FIFA 12 has been dominating the sales charts since its release however, Rocksteady look to stake their claim with their eagerly anticipated title, Batman: Arkham City.
So did the world of Football with its millions of fans come out on top or did the caped crusader manage to knock it off its perch.
10. Dark Souls: the challenging yet brutally unforgiving action role playing game, Dark Souls, seems to have spent its short yet memorable time in the video game sales chart. It may not have sold in the billions, but it will go down as one
of the most unique gaming experiences of all time.
9. Driver: San Francisco: it may not have gotten perfect review scores but the first Driver game to make its way onto the current generation of consoles. The PlayStation 3 version seems to be selling just enough to keep it in the top ten.
8. Gran Turismo 5: Kazunori Yamauchi and his team at Polyphony Digital should be hailed what they have achieved as they have literally brought Gran Turismo 5 back from the ‘sales’  dead after the release of Spec 2.0. The
update saw a number of changes implemented in the game and helped the game sell a fair amount more copies.
7. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: while some gamers still argue about the correct pronunciation of the title, there is no doubting the fact that the latest instalment in the Deus Ex series has raised the bar in terms of storytelling and visuals.
6. F1 2011: making a resurgent climb back up a few places on the charts, Codemasters’ F1 racing game seems to have garnered renewed interest as the sales figures have picked up since the previous week.
5. Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One: making its debut is Sony Computer Entertainment’s latest foray into the Ratchet and Clank universe. While it may not have topped the chart, the level of competition surrounding the game makes fifth position
quite an achievement.
4. Rage: it may not be perfect and it may not be to everyone’s taste, but Bethesda’s post apocalyptic first person shooter is a unique experience and it seems that a majority of gamers seem to like the title; if they did not then it would
not be in the top four.
3. Pro Evolution 2012: still not able to overtake FIFA 12, its closest competitor, in the charts Konami’s latest instalment in the Pro Evo series is still managing to do well for itself in the charts.
2. FIFA 12 and 1. Batman: Arkham City: in the epic battle between football and comic books, it seems that for the time being the latter has won. Though that could just be down to the fact that a large number of Manchester United fans want
to get as far away from football as they can after the heavy defeat they suffered at the hands of Manchester City.
