Did Bernie Mac have aids and the media is hiding it?

My girlfriend told me that the condition they said he had is most likely aids, but the media doesn't want to say that.

The "condition" he had was pneumonia and it is possible to have it and not have aids.  Read a book!

The media has not hidden anything since the 70's.

Bernie Mac died from complication from pneumonia.

The other "condition" he had, was Sarcoidosis, an auto immune disorder, he was diagnosed with in 1983. It has nothing to do with HIV, and actually is rarely seen in people with HIV.

Sarcoid, causes non-caseating granulomas nodules to form in the body. And in 90% of people with sarcoid, the lungs are involved. That is why so many people on here keep saying he had a "lung deiseas", it isnt a lung dieseas it is an aunto immune dieseas that can effect the lungs.

It can actually effect every part of the body.

And the drugs used to treat it, aren't much better then the disease its self. They use corticosteroids, mainly Predisone, to treat sarcoid. Which suppresses the immune system, and the common cold, or the flu can kill you. And then you have those who have other organ involvement, who end up having to take drugs like Methotrexate.

Even though Bernie Mac's sarcoid was in remission at the time. The damage that sarcoid can do to your lungs, or other organs isn't reversible.

Bernie Mac also founded the Bernie Mac Foundation for Sarcoidosis, to help further research for a disease that can be a life long, and

debilitating illness for many who have it.

So why in the world, would his doctors, family and even Bernie Mac him self lie about what he had? Do you see how air headed someone would be to think that?

Bernie Mac had sarcoidosis for decades but died from pneumonia. Sarcoidosis is rarely seen in AIDS. So I think your girlfriend is probably mistaken.

I doubt it but what if he did - does it really matter? It was a life lost too soon :(
