Question:

Did Brett Farve turn out to be the perfect player for Madden 09 after all?

After the controversy of having a, ahem, "retired" player on the cover.

But considering the ridiculous amount of publicity he's gotten over the last couple month, the EA guys made a lucky choice.

But on Brett's part, why is he even still trying to come back? He'll just go down with some injury anyway thanks to the Madden Curse.

  1. I always kind of liked Favre, even though I am a Cowboys fan.  You can't deny that he is, or was, a great quarterback.  I think his decision to 'un-retire' is a bad one.  He might or might not be able to perform well this year.  He is definately going to cause a disruption because the team is not going to know where to go and who to hang with on the field.  Favre could be completely out by midseason (or game 2 for that matter) and then Rodgers is 'in' and the whole scenario shifts from the strengths of one QB to the strengths of another.

  2. Most people don't believe in curses. He may not know about the madden curse, maybe someone should tell him before it's too late.

  3. The Madden Curse is back!

  4. Yes, he did deserve that Madden cover, regardless of the last few months

  5. Yes Maybe he'll break the Madden Curse.

  6. Sucks for Favre now he's gunna get cursed. Something bad is going to happen to him

  7. Its the curse....I bet you the first snap he takes behind center he is going to get the c**p knocked out of him and then he will be injured and not get to play
