  1. from the timing of events, one might suspect that the Beijing trip was a part of it.  certainly it was planned, and just as certain, elements in the US government knew of the plan.

  2. good  point.  A major militarty confrontation involving a "key" Bush iraq ally, and Bush is watching beach volley ball.  true...true..true.

once again the intel must have failed bush.

  3. He knows wuts going on, if your wondering why we wont send toops in its becuase that will start war with an agressive country that has serious nulcear capabilites and a **** load of ICBM's with plenty of ICMB silos to launch them. Bush is and idiot and the last election was definatly rigged beyond beliefe (also you should see how obvious the propaganda is when viewing american polatics from another country) but you interfearing to quickly or agressively can be a bad idea espeically with how easily russia gets pissed off.

  4. Of course, he's the president! The public, and you, are the one's who don't know what's really going on. It's interesting people want to criticize the president (all of them, not just bush) yet we only see about 10% of what he actually does. Plus we like blaming things they have no control over, like the economy. Bush was in the right place supporting us (the American people and athletes) in China. Plus that put him much closer to Georgia/Russia! Also, don't be so arrogant to think that the US should be nosing into their business, we don't have any business interfering there until we are asked to. We ask Russia to stay out of our conflicts unless they want to be on our side. Plus it's momentarily over anyway. I do believe we should try to help peace with peaceful negotiations and protect oppressed peoples if they don't bring violence on themselves. But I'm also not a military or international professional, so I'll let more 'interested' people handle the situations for the best. Take that advice. You can't change the president, so support the office cause he's there for the citizens, even if you don't think you like him personally... I think he'd be a great guy to party with!

  5. Georgia complains that Washington was in on the whole deal all along, and that it's all Washington's fault because they "underestimated Russia."

And Washington claims Georgia ignored their warnings about pissing Russia off.

So you tell me.  I don't know about flat footed.  I'd say somebody was caught being pretty darn stupid.  Which makes me think of Dubya for some reason.

  6. He hasn't got a clue about anything.

  7. Bush probably suspected it, but he is probably powerless to do anything about it, other than risk an all out nuclear war, which he would be bashed for as well.

It seems that no matter what Bush does someone finds a way to bash him for it?  How stupid.

Putin is a Hard liner communist, and his successor is even more so.  These people are dedicated to the re-unification of the old "mother Russia", by force if necessary.  Russia and Georgia are totally sovereign countries and Bush has no authority over them.

Also keep in mind that all along, the Bush bashers  have been unmerciful about our involvement in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and then screamed when Bush didn't send troops to Dar fur, which is a civil war.  And now they are screaming about Why Bush doesn't interfere in the Russian-Georgian conflict, which is essentially a civil war as well.

  8. When Does Bush EVER Have A Clue Whats Going On ;)

  9. ok wait... how is this Bush's problem?  Or Americas problem?  Do nothing, d**n America!  Go help, d**n America!
