Did Carl Sagan make documentaries other than Cosmos?

My husband & I love the Cosmos series & I was wondering if he made any other similar programs? We also love James Burke's Connections series & have been looking for his "The Day the Universe Changed" on DVD. Any info on both items would be appreciated!

I don't think so. But you may be interested in one of his personal role models. Jacob Bronowski was a leading nuclear physicist, then became a molecular biologist after WW2, working at places like the Salk Institute in California. Finally, he created a series on the BBC that was sort of the basis for the later Cosmos series, but dealt with science and technology in general more than just astronomy and space science. I believe Adrian Malone was instrumental in both series. The earlier series, called the Ascent of Man, also was published as a best selling book (like Cosmos). Some of the information is slightly dated, since it was done before Dr Sagan's efforts, but it is generally excellent and I would recommend it highly for anyone with even a passing interest in science.

Sagan also engaged in sporadic bits of moral philosophy, wherein he was about as adroit as a fish out of water. His main failing there was being overly sentimental, hence blind to necessity and to the higher purposes of morals.

i dont know if there are others but i love him too. cosmos was amazing.  i dont know if these clips are from cosmos but thought you and your husband might enjoy them
