  1. Unification. The first dynasty created China, while after the periods between dynasties was often filled with war and conflict. (ex After the Han dynasty China was split into three warring states for over 30 years.) However, as China is the only present day nation to exist geographically and culturally intact since BCE times (whereas Rome, Greece are now gone), it can be said that the dynastic cycles and the methods of rule they entailed have lead to unification.
