Did Cung Le sell out?

He has turned Hollywood and is doing like 3 movies right now instead of doing what he was born to do...kick @ss. Your thoughts?

he needs the money? or he knows he will make more fighting later after more people find out who is through the movies

The only way for him to really be well known and bring Kung Fu to the forefront is to do this.  Would you say that Jet Li and Jackie Chan are sell outs?  If he can act, then he will help fill the void that those two will be leaving.   This should help keep actual Kung Fu in the movies, and therefore in the minds of America.

The question then becomes, do you, as a Martial Artist, want Cung Le as our spokesman.    I think that he will do well as long as he can stay humble.

I do hope though that he continues in the MMA circuit, and continue to win.  6 really isnt enough to say much, but if he continues, then I hope that he can proove to the non-believers that Kung Fu and Sansou work in the "real world"

Dude, he is still training too.  He is also going to fight one more time in 2008.  Remember, in MMA you really only get 3-4 fights a year.  He started late, so he is only going to get in 2 fights.  We will see him in action prob in nov. or dec.

simple math.

make tons of money with less risk of physical injury doing movies or make less money and risk physical injury doing mma.

as many have stated however that is not the case, but even if he quit fighting altogether I wouldn't fault him.

the world is about how much money you have in your pocket and how hot your girlfriend is not about how much ***  you can kick.  guys who "kick ***" can be hired and are a dime a dozen.  I would rather be tappin *** than kicking it.
