No, I think you are thinking of Gabby Reece. Former Model, and Women's beach volleyball player from the early and mid-90s. Reece was pretty good at the time she retired to modeling but not great. Most female AVP players today could put her away.

As a matter of fact, she should have kept playing, I haven't heard about her in a very long time. The modeling seems to have been a fleeting thing.
