David Beckham was part of the starting line-up and whilst on the pitch he didn’t have the usual presence he tends to, in which he makes a difference in a game, his freekick was very poor, although he didn’t make any major mistakes.

Beckham later spoke of the game, which ended 3-2 to Man Utd, saying he felt that AC Milan were made to pay for not taking their opportunities, and they were certainly a few.
