Did he lose to nadal on purpose? Federer's last shot into the net looked like it was purposely hit into the net. I'd like to think so because i think he knew he was beat.

  1. haha what a strange question. I dont think Roger would purposely hit it into the net i mean he`s missed many of those shots throughout the match. Do you ever notice everytime Rafa was at the net and Roger would go to smash it or hit it passed him he would miss. I think he`s intimidated by the s**y spainard :P! Rafa desereved to win :) he`s been playing amazing these past months in all the tournaments and is improving his game all the time in the end he just outplayed Roger. Federer had the decency to say ``Rafa was the deserving champion`` which was nice !!!

  2. No, Federer is very competitive and wanted to win.  After playing for over 4 hours he may have been slightly fatigued, causing the shot to go into the net.

  3. Yes and he also lost the French Open on purpose.

  4. Sorry but portugal beats all christano renaldo , AWsome player, one of the best im the world

  5. well i don't really think so.............cuz he knows he can always come back...........so i think pressure made him miss the shot and hit it in the net

    * that's just my opinion

  6. not of course!

  7. Did you even watch the match?  Federer did everything that he could and the match was incredible.  You'd have to be so ridiculously ignorant in order to think something like that.  Shame on you.

  8. There's no way Federer lost on purpose. Not with all the records he's chasing.

Besides, players hitting balls into nets happens pretty frequently. He was probably trying to hit it low over the net and wind caught it or he misjudged it. It was dark afterall.

  9. Absolutely, positively NO !!! Remember, he has been a non-stop winning jack pot machine over 4 years ! After a ridiculous loss at the French Open to Nadal, his mission was to wait for Nadal to step into HIS kingdom, and make Nadal fall flat on his face. Things were getting incredibly edge at the final set. Roger just became insane ( of course he can blame the lights ) and hit his last fatal shot, alas...His reign was over.

  10. No, but was Serena under family orders ?

  11. what a dumb question! of course he didn't! he might be the #1 player but he makes mistakes too!

plus Nadal was just too good

  12. No way!! Federer seemed so disappointed after the match, meaning he couldn't have faked it! The shot he hit into the net wasn't on purpose, it was a clumsy mistake. Federer just doesn't have what he had last year.

  13. Why would he want to lose on purpose?

  14. Both of the gentlemen wanted to win it so badly. Their faces told us so. The scores told us so. It was a 5 hour marathon. Not a 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 quickie.

When in doubt look for the emotions in the face. They'll always tell the truth no matter how hard you try to hide it. Federer was talking to McEnroe and he almost broke down that McEnroe cut his speech short, hugged him and thanked him.

    :)

Both of them were brilliant and wanted to win. And the best man won. That was all.

  15. You have got to be joking.  If you have ever played in the dark after 4 1/2 hours playing against the toughest opponent in the world and happen to hit the net, perhaps you would not consider asking that question.

  16. No. You're crazy. haha. Good job Federer! Congrads Nadal!

  17. FACA NA CAVERA!!

    NEXT QUESTION PLEASE........

  18. no

  19. No of course not its just that nadal was better than him and really wanted to win. I think federer just is so used to winning that he just lost because nadal was better

  20. being beaten by nadal in wimby's final made federer cannot make history. federer already won 65 matches in grass. he also unbeaten in wimby for 5 years and he was looking forward to make it 6. by losing, he also made his #1 is treathened by nadal.

he surely wanted to win wimbledon so badly. look at federer's unforced error. nearly twice than nadal's.

he isn't losing wimbledon on any purpose...

  21. You know, You could see that Federer was holding back tears. Did you see how he could not talk to Macenroe?

I don't think think that he lost on purpose.

  22. it did lol. i thought that throughout the whole wimbledon final it looked like he was not trying his best. just by his facial expressions and desire. he hit the ball weak sometimes.
