Did Focus on the Family just prove that they're a false cult?

Stuart Shepard, a leading official of that organization, posted a video on the FOF website a while back asking people to pray for "rain of biblical proportions" during Barack Obama's acceptance speech. It was a clear sunny day. God did not answer their prayer. Does this prove they're not in with God, and should be rejected as a false cult?

  1. Out of curiosity, I looked at the city of Wasilla, Alaska’s municipal code. The two main responsibilities of its Mayor are directly quoted below:

    “1. Preside at council meetings. The mayor may take part in the discussion of matters before the council, but may not vote, except that the mayor may vote in the case of a tie;

    2. Act as ceremonial head of the city.”

    That is not the type of experience that I look for in a Commander in Chief. This is not the woman I want helping to lead this country. I will not support McCain in this decision.

  2. This is definitely not the first example of G-d ignoring their wants/demands. Thank G-d.

  3. Yes, that much is very clear. Great point

  4. I'm sure they are saying now God wants them to ' be patient, it was not God's will to answer their prayer at this time because he has other plans.... later.'

    There were other groups who were praying for the same thing, but it didn't happen.  "Rev" James Dobson.  Jerry Falwell and Pat Robinson always call these things a real Act of God.

    What a weird bunch of loonies!
