  1. Unfortunately none of the Northern Hemisphere teams look like World Cup winners this year!

  2. to be fair ireland had 2 first team players BOD and POC and thats it.... to lose by only 10 points to a very powerful scottish pack is not that bad

france had a much stronger team out and looked ok

    as for the world cup..

    new zealand will choke

australia need some big improvements in order to win

i still think s. africa will win the wc

  3. NO CHANCE!

    "ALL BLACKS" all the WAY!

  4. the french will go close as its home soil but I think the all blacks have already peaked and will get beaten in the semi's!!!!

Boks or Aussies are peaking at right time!! England no chance unfortunately!!!!! boo hoo

  5. The Scots did a great job on the Irish, Scotland should easily go through the pool matches as runners up to NZ (they have already stated that they will play a B team against NZ in their pool match) and could prove to be the dark horse of the world cup.

As for the French . . . well . . .  mate,  . . . when have the Frogs ever looked like winning the world cup ?  I think looking unconvincing and playing loose unpredictable rugby is some how all part of the French world cup master plan. The French are always dangerous, they could still easily win the WC despite their poor showing against the Poms.

And to all those who think there won't be 22 men in black  involved in the final. . . well . . . you're probably not the fastest tractors on the farm !

  6. A short answer - No

However both are looking more capable than England who had a rather lucky freak show win versus Wales and, as evidenced by their loss to France a week later, are not capable of the great heights they achieved in 2003.

All Blacks will win it this time for sure. Boks are most likely to be runners up if the pooling allows it.

  7. No, and no..........

Also a big no to England, Wales and Scotland.

Will be very interesting this weekend to see how Wales fare against Argentina.....

  8. Uh...I am not sure to answer it .They both in the Pool D.

To tell the truth, I can get the champion on 20th oct.

  9. Ireland certaily will not chalenge for a the WC/win a match with

Duffy at 12, Bowe at 11, Wallace at 10, Young at 1, Ferris at 7,

The frightening thing is while many of the other players were not first choice they would be considered to be at a similar level.

e.g can the team really said to be weakend with Best instead of Easterby,Flannery instead of Best, and Murphy instead of Dempsey, yet we still got hammered!
