As I remember his initial conviction for possession of obscene images of children on his computer back in 1999-2001, he took his PC to a repair shop, the shop owner found the offensive images and reported it.

Surely he knew this material would be easily seen? Could he have actually have wanted to be convicted?

  1. another pedophile fan

  2. No he thought he had deleted them. They were found embedded in his Hard Drive.

See. Recycle bin doesn't REMOVE anything, it just recycles it into the Hard Drive. Only a re-format and re-build can clean the Hard Drive.

  3. He didn't mean to get caught.

  4. I believe it was because he is a STUPID ignorant filthy paedophile who didn't have a clue his computer hard drive could be read by others ,he was too busy thinking about his next victim.

  5. No I think he thinks he is above the law.  If he wanted to get caught he would have always pleaded guilty, he has alway maintained his innocence

  6. He seems to assume he can buy his way out of any mischief he gets himself into. He probably didn't intend to get caught, but may have thought he would be able to pay off the repair shop owner in the event that he did get caught.

Remember this happened way back in 1997, before there was a widespread media panic about paedo images on the Internet, and long before there were any big police operations to net the people downloading this stuff. Perhaps he thought it was no big deal and that the images would just be overlooked. Pretty much everyone knows now that you go to jail if you download this material, but it wasn't widely known about at the time.

Glitter probably moved in some pretty decadent circles (there are some seriously hardcore perverts in the music business) and he was no doubt completely out of touch with what an ordinary person would think of those images.

  7. I think he was very very stupid and didn't mean to get caught. I know he has served time for his crimes. But the punishment certainly didn't fit the crime and I hope someone catches up with him and makes him pay properly for ruining children's childhoods.
