  2. Yes is the answer.

    The right wing journalist in America , Ralph Peters , wrote about a 1000 US training team in Georgia in the New York Post. And he also wrote that they all  flew out just one week before Georgia fired shells on South Ossetia.

    I bet Ralph Peters is wishing he didn't write that article now, and Washington probably wishes the same.

    ( I don't have the link - I read about a week ago -  but if you search for "Ralph Peters New York Post" you'll find it)

  3. There is no doubt about it! US troops and Georgia carried out joint military exercises, even reaching near as S.O. The base in the city of Gori, that was one of the places where exercises took place, and Russians destroyed the base, eliminating future threat.

    It was US that trained and armed Georgia, alongside Israel. So in other words Russia clamped US investment, which US was keen on pin against Russia.
