Did Governor Palin steal Obama's Thunder last Friday?

Obama had a great speach, but the only thing people were talking about was McCain's Vice Presidential pick.

Obama had a mediocre speech. Yeah he had the fanfare, the fireworks, the rock stars and Roman God stage, but his speech was more of the same. Promising the moon but not coming up with one single way to pay for any of it. That thunder you thought you heard was merely skyrockets exploding overhead.

no! she's a ditz...a former pageant queen with less experience than obama...so mccain cant really play that card anymore now can he??? she is worse than joe biden when it comes to gaffes. she was probably the only one energized enough to take the job...or the only one stupid enough,,,bc its political suicide,,,ur in the news for 8 weeks (kinda) and then ur gonna get beat,,,then u go back to ur land of the midnight sun...and i dont think her pro life stance will

score well with women (which im assuming that mccain was trying to steal some disgruntled hillary supporters)

It was dirty poker, but it was brilliant as far as politics go for the McCain camp.  Obama's big hoorah was overshadowed by Palin, and he missed a great opportunity.

If you think of it that way, but the cost of such a gimmick has been devastating to McCain. it has brought into question McCain's judgment.  Just look at the talk shows today.  Just look at the polls showing McCain losing ground since Palin.

Palin is just coming in into a fight that started 19 months ago and she is NOT running for president. John McSame is. The choice is still between Obama and McCain.

4 and 8 years ago, voters were happier to elect Bush.. If they are happy with their decisions now as they were then - of course. They will go for McCain and we all hopefully will still be alive in the next four to see their folly.

Heath care, women's rights, Human rights, unity, international relations, energy, job creations and national rebuild need 100% focus. McCain is not solid on most. But then, no condition is permanent. May be it is the right time for the US to surrender her international lead in most areas except military to the up and coming nations. This elections is a core determinant for that.

I think Obama is the best choice right now for all.

McCain did wonders having a woman as his vice president! I think Palin stole Obama's thunder! Thank god, now we can have people vote fairly. We can either have the first black president OR the first female vice-president!
