Hitler had an abusive and controlling father who beat and whipped him as a child.His father died when Hitler was about 13 years of age, he said to his secretary years later that he resolved never to cry again when he was beaten..His mother was said to be overpowering and domineering and died when he was 17.

  4. By today's standards he would be considered abused, by the standards of those earlier times in Europe, he would be considered borderline coddled.

  5. Every child has tramatic experiences while growing up.  That's part of the process.  Hitler's childhood was a lot better than most people I know, including mine.  People will use any excuse they can think of to justify their bad behavior. In that sense, Hitler was a genius.
