Did Homo heidelbergensis have an occipital bun or shoveled incisors?

  1. I belive the occipital bun is a Neanderthal characteristic and the shoveled incisors is a sinodont (new oriental) (Chinese) characteristic.  Since heidelbergensis is the direct ancestor to Neanderthal (presumably) it may have the beginnings of an occipital bun but not much of one.  It apparently helps balance the skull.  The shovelled incisors are a very recent trait and I doubt that H. heidelbergensis had those and certainly not the skulls I have seen.
