Did I Pull My Bicep and What Should I Do?

So I was lifting weights the other day and my bicep just gave out... I did not think much of it until the next morning when my arm hurt to passively straighten and actively bend and there was a bruise at the distal portion of my bicep.... I iced and this morning I woke up and the bruising was worse and so was the pain.... if anyone has info on if I pulled my bicep or what, when I should start lifting again, and how to get rid of the pain and bruising it would be much appreciated.

  1. I think that there could be a rupture of your lower end of biceps tendon. These ruptures could be partial or complete. My advise to you would be to get it checked in your local A&E. Some of these acute ruptures require surgical repair particularly in young adults.
