I DON'T want to lose weight I'm just trying to maintain a healthy "diet" because I have very bad allergies and asthma and want to feel better. Please tell me if I am missing something that I should be eating daily? I'm 20 years old girl. 5/6 122 lb.

(I'm not trying to lose weight so my "diet" is based just on being healthy.)

Okay, this is what I had to eat today.

For Breakfast I had 2 hard boiled eggs w/ 1 piece of whole wheat bread,1 grapefruit, a hand full of almonds, 2 hand fulls of grapes, w/ OJ to drink.

Drank water in between meals.

For lunch I had 2 pieces of baked chicken, steamed carrots & broccoli, tomato avocado side salad, drank green tea w/ lemon & honey.

Drank water between meals. Some low fat no added sugar granola for snack and an apple.

For dinner I made a bean & cheese burrito, salsa, guacamole, baked corn chips. 100% no added sugar Cranberry/ apple juice to drink.

For snack water, low sugar strawberry yogurt, carrot sticks, 1 orange. Also I take a Multivitamin w/ added iron. I exercise every week day for 1 hour and a half. I now it's sounds like a lot but I need that much food to nourish my body properly. (I think anyway.)

Thanks

  1. You have got the perfect diet!  I'm happy that your making good choices.

  2. You are very close to having 2 servings of dairy a day because of the yogurt plus I've count all the fruits as being about a half serving because they do contain calcuim, but not as much as milk.  Consider drinking a glass of milk per day.

  3. I don't see anything wrong with you diet. Sounds like you are getting a little bit of everything. You eat more veggies in a day than I do in weeek, heh, so good job. I also think its a good thing that you are eating often throughout the day because many people make the mistake of not eating often enough, and then when they eat, they overeat and then they feel terrible afterwards. Anyways, I'm not a dietitian or anything, but it sounds like you are eating very healthy.
