Did I do alright w/ eating today?

I want to lose 30 or more by christmas. I'm in college, so it's kind of hard. I start working out 2morrow, trying 2 get @ least 30 of cardio, and I ride my bike all around campus. Today I slept until about noon, missing breakfast. I went to wal-mart and bought a cup of popcorn chicken and ate that. I drank several glasses of water throughout the day. for dinner I had a sandwich w/ a little mayo and a glass of water and milk. I've had 3 glasses, and am gonna drink one more right now. Did I eat alright today, even though I had the popcorn chicken?

  1. Well I believe you had an average diet, still lots of room for improvement. You should cut down on the junk food. You should eat more frequently, I suggest 4-6 smaller meals throughout the day.

    Also another thing, if you're currently busy with college and cardio maybe hard to fit in I suggest that you do HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). This only takes 10-20min per day but is far superior to regular cardio. HIIT works by alternating your heart rate which in turn elevates your resting metabolic rate.

    For example: You walk for 2min followed by 30sec of sprinting. This becomes 1 cycle. Complete 3 more for a total of 4 cycles lasting only 10min. 10min of HIIT is more effective than 30min of regular cardio.

    Over the coming weeks increase by 1 cycle per week until you reach 8 cycles lasting 20min. Continue with 8 cycles.

    Breakfast should be the most important meal of the day. You should eat the most at breakfast. Some good foods for breakfast include traditional oats, water, a sandwich with meat and salad and some juice.

    For snacks you could have a few pieces of fruit.

    For lunch you could have an omelette with salad.

    For dinner I suggest you have some chicken with salad and some brown rice.

    After dinner you could have tuna mixed with lite cottage cheese.


  2. Lose the breaded popcorn chicked. Wake up around breakfast time and have some protein to get your metabolism going. If you have time do more cardio. Good job on the water though.

  3. mayo is no good. eat lean meats like chicken and fish and also eat lots of vegetables. and good job drinking that water if really helps a lot. i wouldnt even be drinking milk if i were you. only water.

  5. Eating in proportion is key, Excerise is great as well. Also try to stay on task with three meals a day, skipping a meal will make you alot more hungry actually eating breakfast,lunch, and dinner will fill you up so that you aren't snacking too often.

  6. No! You are not eating right. Even if you lose weight in the short term, you will get other health problems.

    Starvation does not help you lose weight.

    1. First of all take one multi-vitamin and one fish oil everyday.. It will keep your Vitamin loss to a minimum.

    2. Eat breakfast within 2 hours after you wake up. At least eat one cup of fat-free yogurt and blue berries

    3. Eat lunch.. grilled chicken sandwich on whole grain bread with slice of tomato lettuce

    4. For dinner don't use Mayo. No popcorn chicken

    Have broiled fish, spinach salad, fat-free milk.

    5. In between find  time to eat about 7 halves of English walnuts.

    Make sure you have whole grains, 2 cups of fat free dairy product, 4 Vegetable/fruit servings and 4 oz of chicken/fish

    Do your Cardio exercise on empty stomach when you wake-up.
