Did I do the wrong thing in Literature class?

Ok, so I just started the 8th grade and while reading a story at home, i found a page(inside my text) that said "how to write a book report" and in my literature class today, my teacher(guy) was talking about book reports and that he will be assigning a few throughout the school year.

And everyone was like I dont know how to write a book report and "blah blah" and then i told my teacher "um, i found a copy of a page that said how to write a report" and he was like "oh do you have it with you?" and i showed it to him and he said "oh this is good, would you consider borrowing it to me so i could get some copies for the WHOLE school (students in school)?

So i said "sure".. i mean what else would i say?!..and then he read some parts out loud and all that, but after class i felt kind of stupid for telling him about the "page".

Because, I was like "i could've known those tips and done like the best book report" and stuff.

But I don't know..what do you think?

Sorry if it's too long, and YES thanks thanks thanks for reading my looong boring story =]

  1. maybe you should have kept quiet?

  2. i say you did the right thing.

everyone will be thanking you cuz now it helps everyone.

i'm going into 9th and i've had the same problem.

if you hadn't then your friends would complain and you'd feel really bad cuz you had an advantage.

trust me, been there, done that.

    you did the right thing

  3. haha that's kind of annoying but i think you did the right thing by helping out your classmates, plus you will get extra brownie points with your teacher :)

  4. Yes you did the right thing. He is the teacher though, if you hadn't given that to him, he would have given another type of hand out with instructions on how he wanted that done, that's his job. Or he would have written it up on the board, he wouldn't have just let them figure it out themselves. It was just polite of you to show it to him.

  5. Well nothing wrong with what you did.I think the teacher should find his own teaching supplies.Hopefully he will give it back at some point.
