Did I eat alright today?

I want to lose 30 or more by christmas. I'm in college, so it's kind of hard. I start working out 2morrow, trying 2 get @ least 30 of cardio, and I ride my bike all around campus. Today I slept until about noon, missing breakfast. I went to wal-mart and bought a cup of popcorn chicken and ate that. I drank several glasses of water throughout the day. for dinner I had a sandwich w/ a little mayo and a glass of water and milk. I've had 3 glasses, and am gonna drink one more right now. Did I eat alright today, even though I had the popcorn chicken?

  2. Well, there are 2 ways of losing weight, active and passive. Active means that you have to sweat it out by doing vigourous exercises. Passive means that you go on a eating diet, you watch what you eat, you take in less carbs then normal etc. Don't skip meals if you wanna lose weight, because you're more likely to eat more than your normal serving during your next meal, which means extra food. And when you do eat, try not to eat junk food like popcorn chicken and milk, it's not healthy. You want to lose weight the healthy way, not the unhealthy way :). If it's only for today, then it's excusable lol.

    Since you're in college and don't get much time exercising, you still can do little exercises, like walking to school instead of cycling. Walking, though not much, helps to burn calories too. Take up an extra curricular activity in school, like soccer or badminton, or tennis, something that allows you to run around and sweat it out. During the weekends, maybe you can try swimming with a couple of your friends :), I have to say swimming is the best form of exercise, because you use every part of your body to work out.

    As for what you eat, like I said, don't skip meals, but eat less of what you normally eat. Are those fries giving you too much carbs? Cut those down. What about those pizzas? Throw them away too. You want to eat food that you know can keep you healthy and reduce your intake of fat too, like veggies. Oooh I love veggies teehee. I'm not saying you have to go on a strict salad diet, no, but add some veggies to your meal, take some meat away. That way, you can cut down on the fat that you take in, but still enjoy them. Veggies have very powerful properties, especially those green leafy types. Research has shown that long periods of vegetable consumption alone can help you lose weight and stay healthy at the same time. Milk is good too, strengthens your bones.

    As for your question, I'd have to say no lol, but once in a while it's ok, don't make it a habit. You know what they say, "You are what you eat" =). And I can't believe you're preparing yourself for Christmas already, lol it's only August. Well, I hope this helps ;), good luck!

  3. That's okay, BUT.. you shouldn't have had the mayo because that's very bad for you.

    & you should've eaten breakfast because that is a very important meal, next time try eating breakfast.. just a healthy breakfast.

    & you really shouldn't have eatin the chicken, ESPECIALLY popcorn chicken, fried >.< ew.

    & milk is okay, but try not to drink too much. Unless it's low fat or something.

  5. generally not good to oversleep, between 6 and 10 hours a night is a good amount. also not good to skip meals as they help to keep your metabolism going.

    I usually start the day with a bowl of cereal, not the sugary kind but the kind with fruits and grains, with a cup of coffee although juice is also good. lunch, I have 2 sandwiches with salad, the thing to remember is to watch your filling, salted meats and salamis aren't as good for you as roast meats and cheese is high in fat, I would suggest a low fat cheese and low fat mayo with chicken breast/roast beef/lamb/pork with salad. Dinner for me consists of mostly some kind of meat like chicken breast, skin free, with potatoes and steamed fresh vegetables although steak is a nice treat or grilled fish. Generally water and fruit juice, (100% juice, not fruit drinks) are the best drinks milk is good as long as it is skim or hilo (high calcium, low fat).
