Hello. Yesterday, I made and ate some stuffed jalapeno peppers, wich were very good. So good infact, that I ate quite a few of them. About 6 to 10, maybe more.

My question is, is ever since then, my throat has been swollen, and hurts really bad, and I have a stuffy nose. Did I eat too many peppers?

Some things you should know about me is: I'm 14, and I don't eat peppers often, and unless there's something to cool down the spice, I can't take the heat. Also, I am quite positive I'm not allergic to peppers.

Please help! It's 5 AM, and these symptoms have been keeping me up for a very long time, and to wake up my parents wouldn't be fair. =(

  1. it could be seasonal allergies but assuming they're effects of having too much chili you could try drinking some milk. lactose free milk will be better.

  2. could be seasonal allergies.. youll know if you ate to many peppers when you take a dump.

  3. It probably just irritated your throat

  4. Your throat is irratated.  Drink milk and take an ibufprofen.

  5. Well , you might have to. These symptoms aren't serious and they will likely be gone in a few days. Drink a lot of water and no more peppers!

  6. Well if you have time to ask here, you will not die, the capsaisin, hot stuff in peppers, has just stripped the mucus lining on your throat, leaving it raw and unprotected to anything you eat. drink milk or gargle with salt water. Just dont gargle with salty milk.... Nasty stuff man.

  7. uhmmm.... try to drink a very cold milk...
