This is really freaking me out. First of all, my mom's room is next to mine, and she says that she used to hear a kid laughing and playing outside usually at 4 a.m. And tonight, what happened to me, was that I woke up at around 1 a.m. and I felt really uncomfortable and couldnt sleep. Then once I fell asleep, The bed started to bounce rapidly, as if someone was bouncing up and down my bed, then I started to see images of a little boy. He was a white kid about ten years of age and he had short shaggy blonde hair and had freckles. His eyes looked very chearful and his smile made him look really happy. Then he grabbed me and I felt as if he tried to take control of me. I was screaming and mumbling in my sleep. At this time I felt awake, as if it was really happening. I couldnt move my body at all, and finally woke up at 4 a.m. Did i really see a ghost?try to possess me?was this something that is called sleep paralysis?its wierd how this happened at 4. the same time my mom heard the kid.

  2. Could be the power of suggestion and an overactive imagination or just a bad dream. Don't jump to the conclusion that it was paranormal in origin.  Repeated occurrences may indicate the possibility of paranormal events but are not conclusive to that estimation.

  3. If you saw what you are discribing, it is a ghost of a child who has the ability to interact.  Now just because it is a ghost does not mean that it is dangerous to you and yours.  It does not mean that your home is haunted either.  If it is someting that is disturbing to you (waking up someone from rest generally is) my suggestion is to tell it to stop.  It will most likely comply.

  4. it wasnt a ghost... ghosts are harmless- they dont move things, they dont grab people.  what you're dealing with is far more powerful, and should be dealt with by someone with the knowledge of banishing demons.

  5. So many of these things happen around sleep.I think you should at least consider it was a dream.Your mother telling you ghost stories as true tales doesn't help.As we get older some of us rebel against the odd notions of our parents. We still love them, but realize they can be wrong about some things.Usually, they're right but not about ghosts.

  6. It could be a ghost. Don't be scared and the ghost won't scare you. It is just a harmless ghost.

  7. This was in fact a case of sleep paralysis, without question.

You mother probably is experiencing hypnogogic, or hypnopompic hallucinations in the form of auditory hallucinations. Because it has been decided between you and your mother that there is a little boy ghost playing in your yard, that would be the form that the hallucinations take.

People who believe in aliens experience alien abductions. People who believe in demons experience demon attacts etc......

The hallucinations caused by these problems are very much subject to what you expect to happen.

You probably imagined the ghost your mother described as little white kid.

Sleep paralysis happens when you wake up and go back to sleep or change sleeping patterns, or experience heavy stress. The chemicals that aid in the transition between sleep stages gets drained, and the result is sleep paralysis.

  8. I think you can relax. What this really sounds like to me is that your mom spooked you with her ghost story, which really was just her having dreams. Now that you got spooked, you went to sleep very anxious and ended up having dreams about what your mother described to you. I think the telling aspect of your story is "once I fell asleep, the bed started to bounce...". The vast majority of ghost reports say the haunting happened while going to sleep, during sleep, or waking up. The key common ingredient here is sleep and the dreams that can occur during sleep.

  9. It really does sound like sleep paralysis. If you were being "attacked" in your sleep, you should have been able to move freely when you woke. The fact that you could not move is very indicative of sleep paralysis.

  10. i think it was just a dream....that happend to me one time...but nothing shook me up or moved the bed or anything it just felt like i was tlkin to some1 half asleep and  half awake......i think it was a dream........no paranormal stuff

  11. It was probably a bad memory you had a long time ago and don't remember. It was nothing ghost related. Sorry!

  12. There are such entities looking to play or have fun. Not to scare you but this Little boy maybe linked to you because of something tragic you both experienced in common. Might not seem like much but a divorce or bad childhood memory that is hidden in your conscience. If you can focus long enough to talk with it and get his name and age, look it up or find someone who can help you to find out whats keeping this child there, it may help the both of you. Or your a lucky one to be starting to developer medium powers a form of communicating with the other side. Hold on to it if your not to scared. It will get intense but bare with it. Good luck and get as much info as possible to look up this child. He needs closure and so does your mother and you!!!!

  13. Well, I could do the sensible thing and tell you you were probably dreaming but I do believe in ghosts. I once saw a bunch of them in my room. They never came back but my mum swore she heard weird music downstairs once and there was a green light, like the green light that surrended the ghosts I saw. It might be a bit like your story.

Don't worry though, ghosts ain't evil.
