Did I get poisoned from drinking out of an unsealed gallon of tea?

Question

I opened a new gallon of tea, and poured a cup and drank some, then I realized that this tea usually has a seal on it under the cap that i have to take off before i can drink it.

Did i just get posioned..or is it a common thing?

Seals became important because some deranged jerk put poison is some tylenol many years ago and a couple people died.  I don't remember the facts but that is when seals on food became so serious.  By now if you got poison in your system you would know.  It is probably just a machine male function.
