Did I get ripped off? (bike people)?

I just bought a Trek 4300 18" bike for $445. Is it just me or is that too much for a bike?

The MSRP at Trek's website says $479 for your bike (if it's a 2008 model).

The price you paid is not a super deal, but you didn't get ripped off.

Sounds like a good deal on last years model.

Seeing as your actually buying a lower end Trek then 'no' it's not too much to spend on a bike.

My shifter/lever combo XTR[96 model,pre v]listed at about $375 when new.My Dean Titanium threaded stem was listed at 200+ bucks when new.

Good light bikes with good parts are expensive.The parts  break just as easilly as a cheap part though.

That is the lowest MSRP that a dealer can charge for that bike. You got the best deal that a dealer can give you.
