  1. Total rip off i know a guy who sells those out of the trunk of his car for 600 bucks

  2. not a rip off. the q6600 alone is worth a lot. the 8600 gt is maybe around a hundred and 3 gb of ram is a lot. although very weird... 3.12 i've NEVER heard of before. sure that is correct?? sounds fishy.

how would u get .12 of ram... unless you have a 128mb stick in there, and in that case i say take it out take it OUT. cuz YES it will actually slow your system down. your ram has to communicate together and the stupid 128 would be slowing that thing down.

stick with the big numbers. whole ones. 1gb 2gb 3gb 4gb don't do anythign else. dvd burner is maybe around 20 or 30 bucks. 500gb drive is probably around a hundred dollars.

    i don't know

800 dollars sounds about right, because you didn't mention the case or power supply (worth a lot) and fan's or what not.

    should be good.

  3. Sounds like you have all the higher end hardware so you pay for the speed and proformance depending on the manufacture i would say your in the right ballpark.

  4. that was not a bad price.  But that also depend on the support you got with the computer too and the software. With everything that you listed, you could not have built one for much cheaper than that.

and by the way, SATA is the newest form of hooking your drives to the motherboard, it is much faster and stable than the older IDE cables

  5. That doesn't seem like a bad price. 3.12 GB of RAM is great! 500 GB hard drive is also worth it. You weren't ripped off.
