Question:

Did I get scammed on ebay? please help!?

I bought an ipod for about $130 from seller "1stop4you" on ebay about 12 days ago, and never recieved it (promised shipping time was 1-6 days). The biggest issue is that this seller accepted my payment, and now is no longer a registered ebay member! This means I cannot contact them, and the listing has been removed. I filed a claim with paypal, but is that likely to get my money back? What else can I do?

  1. I would contact Ebay anyway.  They might still be able to help.

  2. I haven't had lot of experience with ebay, but they and paypal have always been great with any complaint I have made.  Paypal should be able to help but I would still contact ebay they should have more information as far as the location and name of the seller.

  3. contact both ebay and paypal and let them know what happened cuz that does seem a bit fishy. Also in the future always check the sellers rating b4 u buy. anything less than 95% or if they have no rating then think twice b4 u buy.

  4. By allowing you to buy the item from them they entered a contract with you that gaurenteed the item in exchange for your payment if they got the payment and you didnt get the ipod you should contact ebay for there info and see what you can do, by not sending you the ipod they are breaking the law.

  5. It is very likely that you will get your money back if the person that sold the item to you had paypal protection. I've had two ebay disputes through paypal and got my refund each time.

  6. yes u can file a claim with paypal but they suggest u wait for like 30 days. if by then u didnt recive it then u can file one. u would most likely win if he doesnt respond to the dispute, by the way how was his feedback? if it is in the 90% with alot of feedback then he mo st likely sent it. but make sure u dont miss the deadline to file a dispute

  7. Hi.I would file the dispute at the end of the week as it will be 2wks then. You are covered by a buyers guarantee through paypal(thats why its suggested you always use them) If you do not receive your item & they cant contact the seller to retrieve your money they will refund it themselves.(had the same thing happen to me)But you only have a short period in which to do so ,as does the seller. So just go to paypal & start a dispute & see how it goes from there.

  8. I also bought an iPod from "1stop4you" on the 22nd of august. i kept contacting him and he said that he shipped it last week on wed. i'm still waiting even though he hasn't given me a tracking number. He is still an unregistered user and i hope he really did send my ipod touch.
