Question:

Did I get the Job at Starbucks?

I just had a second interview at starbucks. I felt like I didn't answer his questions to his satisfaction since I was asked more than in the first interview. Mind you this was a different manager and he needed to come to his own conclusion before they both decide to hire me. I was very professional and had all my questions prepared for him. He seemed to like answering all my questions. I even asked what's the best part about his job is. He liked answering that. I even told him how I had a dream about starbucks lol. Then he told me about how when he first started working there he had dreams about his job too lol. I think he liked me, but he wasn't as straight forward as the other guy in saying so. The other guy flat out said "I like you, and I think I want you to join our team." But it's up to both of them whether or not to hire me. I liked them both, so we'll see how it goes. I really really want the job. Do you think I got it?? They said they can only hire one person within the next week and then more every two weeks till they have enough for the Holiday Season. He said he would get back to me sometime this week or next monday.

So what do you think? Did I get the job? I think I made it clear to him how much I wanted it. I just hope his impression was as good as the first guys.

  1. I see questions like this all the time about Starbucks.  As a manager I feel anyone that gets to a second interview should be called to let them know if someone else has taken the position.

I was at a Barnes and Noble the other day and they were hiring very entry level Baristas and always looking for more workers.  It may not be what you want now but having an existing barista job will help you get into Starbucks.

The polite way to ask is to call or stop by and ask if the position has been filled or not instead of asking if you got the job.  They could be held up checking someone else's references before making a final decision on you.  It has taken as long as 3 weeks for me to hear whether I got a  job.

  2. i think you got it. you gave it your all and they will notice that and in return hopefully hire you. good luck! :)
