Does the satellite receiver solve the problem and make it so I will not need a new TV or converter?

  1. Only people that will not be ready are people with an OLD TV, like with rabbit ears, or where the cable doesn't hook directly to the TV without an adapter (not a box).. Anyone currently hooked up to cable or satelite will be fine.

  2. cable or satellite, you are ready.

  3. The only ones who will be affected by the transition to digital signal will be those who are receiving their television signal from an antenna. If you have satellite or cable signal coming in then you dont have to worry about it. There are some new television sets that already have the digital converter signal built-in so you dont have to worry about it. If you receive satellite signal dont worry about it you'll be fine.
