Did I just see that (Indy 500)?

Question

Marco Andretti just left Tony Kanaan out to dry, and then Tony got into the marbles, spun out, and was T-boned by Sarah Fisher! Unbelieveable! Tony was in the lead, too!

Um ... Kanaan has repeatedly apologized for coming down on Fisher.

The shame of it all is that Fisher has hustled her butt off getting her ride at Indy. she has more talent than most of the field and has to beg rides and tires.

I've followed Fisher's career since she was a teenager and if she were given half of what Danica Patrick parlays her looks for then she would easily be on the top of the charts at every race.

Yeah, I saw that.  I think Marco was just so focused on winning, that he just left no room for TK, and he passed too late.  That was just a bad move by Marco.  I could tell that Cheever has a thing against the Andretti's cause after Marco did that, he just would not stop talking about how stupid his move was, so that was just annoying.  Your right though, Tony was in the lead, and Marco should not have done that.

I didn't see Marco do anything wrong. Kanaan was way too slow and too high up the track. He also had all the time in the world to get his car slowed down. It's not like Marco had trouble getting by him, he just pretty much blew on by. Kanaan and Marco weren't even close to each other. I think Kanaan just blew it, and yeah, it looks like he might have had something for Dixon. Kanaan's car came off the wall too quickly for Fisher to really have any time to react. She would have been fine if the car had stayed up on the wall.

yea, u saw that. thats what i call shady business. marco passed too late and tk had nowhere to go but the wall. WHAT HAPPENED TO TEAMWORK!!! michael andretti looked very dissappointed seeing as how this was tk's race to win. he had it won. RIDICULOUS!!

Tony over reacted and over corrected. And Sarah probaly thought he was wall bound and not gonna spin in front of her.

i was sitting in the north section between the 3rd and 4th turns and all i know is he hit the wall hard!!!  i was too busy watching the safety crew get the cars out of the way so i never watched the re-plays.  how about danica attempting to confront the guy that took her out.  i think that would have been funny to see that little thing getting all fired up on tv.

Yep. It was a true shame that Sarah was "collected" in that little fiasco. Could she have avoided it? The folks from ESPN mentioned that it was certainly a possibility/probability but none of them were able to see if her field of vision was obscured by another car or smoke from Kannan's spin.

I think it is very unfortunate that it happened to her and my heart certainly goes out to her. That's racing, folks.

After the 2 teammates collected each other, Sarah had nowhere to go,

At 220 mph, ya can't just pull over n stop, when a wreck happens right in front of you?

she was already all the way over against the wall,

and she had the lane,

she was AHEAD of Briscoe,

he ran over her from BEHIND,

(he took out her REAR wheel, remember?)

how was she supposed to get out of his way?

I saw what you saw.  IMHO, it was the saddest day of this year's ICS schedule -- for both TK and Sarah.

Marco needs to quit thinking he's his Grandfather, as he doesn't have nearly the experience it takes to be a "Good" driver (yet!)

He DOES have a lot of talent though; and (I think) he is worth grooming into the sport.  He just needs to learn how to temper his patience better.  (A common problem with almost all teenagers!)

I could care less about TK or MA.  My concern is Fisher!  She has worked so hard to get to Indy.  Fans have sent her money, she's invested EVERYTHING she has into her car and getting ready...and it all goes for pot?  In my opinion the team that Tony and Marco belong to (teammates right?) Should help pay for the repairs to Fishers car!  If she had half of the things that Danica has, she would do so well.  Danica has talent...but she's gotta learn to keep herself in check.  So far she's proving herself to be a real witch (also in my opinion).  The whole thing in the pitts was an accident...there's no way the driver could have seen her coming.  She A) could have moved over more (I saw the replay of it.)  and B) the other team's pit crew should have known better than to signal him off.

GO SARAH!  I hope someone sponsors her...I really do.

yep. i saw it from my seat.  marco made a stupid move. especially on his teammate.  tk kept himself together though.  i really felt bad for sarah fisher! she had a tough day.  he wouldve won the 500 if it werent for marco

sarah didnt think tk was going to turn left...she did noting wrong there , tk should have stayed high till he was clear...poor sarah was crying in her interview.. felt bad for her but ,hey, thats big time auto racing

Sara fisher is gonna get the bonehead move of the race..Poor TK, he was running great...I don't think Marco realized what he did, but Sara my god, she must to have been day dreaming..
