Did I make a mistake or is this ok?

I live in Germany and want to work in Canada. I sent my application for a work permit a few weeks ago. A year of work in this type of job was one of the conditions that I should meet to get the work permit. Well, I will have completed one year of work on July 31th. That's what I wrote on the application form too. But my employer will be on vacation and I was allowed to leave a few days sooner. So I booked a flight to Portugal (because I want to visit my parents) for July 28th. I want to inform the Canadian Consulate about that. Will they refuse to give me a work permit because of that? Do those few days make any difference?

  1. well, i don't know how canada works, but probably yes, those few days will count.

  2. why are you sending in this application now? you need to wait until after you have completed the 1 year of work.

whether or not the 3 days will make a difference - I dont know.  CIC will decide that.
