I'm going off of CJ's question on "What is the current definition of crazy?" And I'm wondering if by the current definition, if I was crazy or not. I used to cut myself, but even when things were quite bad, I was still able to function, even do well, in school and at work, have normal relationships, and seem happy and "together." Does what I did make me crazy just because I did it, or does being "crazy" involve some inability to function normally?

  1. I think someone reaches the borderline of 'crazy' when they aren't able to function properly or keep up a facade that somewhat resembles normality.  You obviously were able to function, even though you had a deep, dark secret.

  2. You weren't crazy. It was just that it wasnt too bad that it shut down your life completely
