This is what I got but I can't shake the feeling it is very wrong, if I did get it wrong how do I solve it correctly? Thanx.

It gave me this problem and said solve 1/6 (36x 18) = 9

I put

1/6 (36x 18) = 9

36x 18 = 8.83

36x = -9.16

x = -.254

Like I said, I think it is very wrong but I cannot remember how to work with fractions like this.

  1. If that's 1/6 + (36x + 18) = 9 it's correct, but it looks like the actual problem is supposed to be 1/6 * (36x + 18) = 9. 36x + 18 = 54. 36x = 36. x = 1.

  2. well assuming that its 36x multiplied by 18 coz u haven't put a sign

    1/6(36x*18)=9

    36x*18=9*6

    36x*18=54

    36x=54/18

    36x=3

    x=1/12

    I'm no math whiz but i think that's the answer
