Hi, I have been contacted my an untraceable company with an implausibly powerful sounding name including lots of "hit-words" like yahoo, microsoft, uk, lotto, etc. It tells me I have won a Lottery I didn't enter, and by simply providing all my bank details and an "admin fee", that I will immediately be sent a pot of gold, the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail & a thimbleful of water from the fountain of youth. And a litre of diesel. So my question is am I the only dumb-a-s-s on the internet, or are there any more out there??

  1. Hi

loads and loads of scams out there my friend!! I think what gave it away with your one was the litre of diesel, nobody could afford to give a litre of diesel away nowadays!!

    Good question, take care

  2. I get emails similar to this just about every day!!  And I don't even know where they get my address from!  Half of them can't even spell properly!

  3. If you don't enter a lottery, you can't win.  Period.  It's a scam that we see here every day.  Absolutely do NOT reply in any fashion.  All they want is your personal and financial info, then it's goodbye bank account.

  4. There all fake i think, theres bound to be one big massive idiot that has actually gave there Bank details.

  5. I am not 100% sure about this, it could be a scam. Does it mention any of the prizes being donated by Gordon Brown.  If so it's extremely implausible as you never get anything for nothing from a P.M.

  6. Your just paranoid, send them your details and get your money!

Are you interested in purchasing any magic beans?!

  7. spam, sweety!

  8. I have to put you out of your misery ........I DID

  9. It's a famous con....

    1) You can't win a lottery you didn't enter

    2) They could take the 'admin fee' from your winnings but won't.

    3) As soon as you provide your bank details they will defraud you...

    Tell them to **** off.

  10. Yeah, I win about six a week but never been able to trace the ***** that tell me i've won.

  11. If it sounds 'Too good to be true, then it probably is'

    This is spam.

I have had four of these emails today.

  12. yep plenty more stupid people otherwise the scammers wouldnt bother doing it
