Did India put a block on export to Bangladesh for Eid?

Clothing for Eid in Bangladesh is unreasonable this year. I heard India banned Clothing export this year. Is this true or did the prices just go up? Will they come down?

  2. No. India did,t blocked any export of clothing to Bangladesh. As per the agreement between SAARC Countries, export of essential commodities are open to export.

    What surprises me is, you were telling there was a shortage of clothing in Bangladesh this year during Ramdan. And you are blaming the shortage is caused by India, by blocking the export. To be precise, the Bangladesh is giving heavy competation to India, in International export market, by offering ready made garments and clothing at much cheaper price. Then how come the shortage, within Bangladesh ?

    Any how. Due to Christmas season there will be heavy demand for Garments and clothing in Europe and America. Hence the supply to the local market will reduce to certain extent. This demand maintains an upward price till the end of the season. The prices will stabilize in January 2008.
